What was up with the refs tonight?

Especially Ayers? Whistles like that in VT and we don’t survive. Felt as if they did all they could to keep it closer than it should have been
I don’t know if they kept it closer but there wasn’t much we could do once the refs started calling it like they did...Bc was pushing and bumping nonstop and we flopped once and got a warning. It was at tough spot. Honestly Frank was the one with his energy and fight and powered through the style of play

Years ago SI had an article about two graduate statisticians from Ohio State, who moved to Vegas and cleaned up on sports betting. Eventually, the sports books limited the size of the bets they could make. They made most of their money on baseball. They wouldn't touch college BB because the officiating was so bad meaning inconsistent.

It seems that despite it being 20 plus years of an issue, college refs still haven't figured out how to slowdown hand checking and grabbing and bumping cutters.

BC would have had their entire backcourt in foul trouble if it was an NBA game.

Jesse got called for two body fouls that were less than the contact BC initiated SU ballhandlers on D every other possession.

Big guys who bump little guys always get called for fouls.

Little guys who bump big guys always get away with it.

If players are the same size they let too much contact go.

Yep- and that has been a supposed point of emphasis during off season conversations and then you see nothing change.

I gave up when ...I think it was Joe or buddy... drew a charge in the lane and it was not called...and worse, he was warned for flopping. He got leveled and I thought it was a great defensive play. Soon after, a defender put his hip into buddy and they called buddy for a charge.

Frank got called for a strange moving screen and then I think a play or two later BC did the same thing and Buddy got called for trying to get over it.

Ayers HATES JB
they used to call that a lot on Edwards last year. I never see it called on the opposing team.

Officials must have been directed to call more moving screens this season because they are calling a load of them. Not just on us. If you watched the end of the UNC - Clemson game last night waiting for our game to come on they called 3 of them in the last minute of a tie game. Two on Clemson that were complete fantasy.

Yea it was Joe.

Lee Cassell was a frat brother of mine in college. Do you guys want me to shoot him a message to let him know you are upset with the officiating last night?
Can’t hurt lmaooo

I blame Jesse's injury on Ayer's for screwing with the whole game and putting him a bad state of mind. Ayer's should know, you reap what you sow.
