shrader - I said in another post, the guy started as a freshman like 6-7 games in the SEC.  He couldn’t have been throwing like that to be in SEC games, pretty sure he had a solid game against LSU.   Right, he didn’t throw like that 2 years ago lol….. So I theory he has to improve at least a little.  I never believe in unlimited upward trajectory but he hasn’t played in over a year but he has been practicing and throwing since last year.  So really not sure what to think.  His difference in velocity on throws has the feel of nerves though.  IMO.

I think on D we have to expect to get beat on deep balls, by good QB’s, in this defense.  The gap they kept throwing to on the sideline between the defenders will likely be there quite often in most games.  If you watch our previous games, minus maybe Albany.  Chestnut has been caught on deep passes, where the WR gets behind him, multiple times.  Sometimes they’ve been converted (at least twice) and other times they haven’t.  With a good QB they connect more often than not.

But he’s a freshman and I think his net positive plays, very solid tackling more than make up for the few teams we play that can burn him a few times.  He’ll improve too and it’s not a surprise he’s been caught as a freshman.

If we beat FSU I think attendance improves a lot.  WF isn’t a sexy team to get people to the game but I bet there were a lot of people who wished they attended Friday.  We beat FSU and WF and that Clemson game is going to be nuts.
