SU went after Battle hard, and has hard as any recruit in some time...priority 1, 2 and 3 kind of deal. During those probation years, there was a lot of discussion here on how badly SU (JB) mis-managed the roster.  Moyer, ended up redshirted his frosh year, so a wasted schollie there that could've been Huerter's. Hindsight being 20/20, Moyer was a complete bust as it turned out, and after displaying such little game at SU, a complete enigma in how he was ever ranked a prep top 100 player.  His journeyman college career epitomized his highly overranked prep status for sure.

We ended up with White as a graduate transfer after Richardson freed up a schollie with his unexpected departure.  I believe, if I also recall correctly, that schollie was in addition to getting back one of those original 4 lost schollies to 3.
