It would never be that way. It is either he is eligible for the spring semester or he is not. If he is not, he will have to take summer classes and hope to get his GPA and credit hours in line with NCAA and university guidelines.

If he has an "I" and had to retake a test or do extra credit work in order to receive a grade then we should know by tomorrow. If he or a fellow classmate was cheating and the test was voided then it could be more involved. He could be expelled or he could have to appreal. Those are the only things I can think of right now
