What's going on in Houston?

I thought this might be a good place to post anyone's favorite places to eat,drink,or catch some live music in Houston. This is going to be my first time,so any tips on cool places for 2 guys would be great!

You'd need a car for this, but there's a phenomenal BBQ place out in Cypress called Carl's, I believe. Some of the best I've had.

Everybody is going to give you their best place to get bbq. My personal favorite and one that has been rated one of the best in the country is Goode Company on Kirby. I haven't tried every place in Texas, so I don't know if it's the best, but I can promise you will not regret going there.

One of my favorite Dallas restaurants is also in Houston. Max's Wine Dive. Not cheap. But really good fried chicken and good wines. Kind of on the trendy side if that is your thing.

We're only going to be in town for two night. I think we'll try a steakhouse and for sure a bar b q joint!

Max's is great. didn't realize they hit all the major TX cities.

If you're going to be in Houston... Try a brewery tour at St Arnold's or Karbach. I recommend trying Karbach first, but they have a 25 person limit. Here is their schedule:

Mondays 4:30-7:30PM (Tour at 6PM)

Fridays 4:30-7:30PM (Tour at 5:15 and 6:15PM)

Saturdays 12-3PM (Tour at 1 and 2:15PM)

Obviously Saturday would be the day to go. Delicious beer.
