this will play as big a role in our offensive success as anything. Has Babers traditionally used a leaner, more mobile style lineman due to the need to get out and block the screens? If so, how does our group of current lineman translate to this scheme? What is the likely 2 deep?

My thoughts:
LT Cody Conway
LG Aaron Roberts
C Jason Emerich
RG Omari Palmer
RT Jamar McGloster

Others:
Colin Byrne
Sam Clausman
Evan Adams
Andreas Duerig
Jonathan Burton
Alex Hayes

I can see why the staff seems to still be pursuing additional, probably want to carry 17-18 or so on the roster, right?

Replace McGloster with Adams and I think you've got it. Young but talented. Let's see who wins the offseason to get in shape for this offense.

Yep. From what I keep hearing, it'll be an upset if Adams isn't one of the starting tackles.

Put Adams in there I think you have it. From what I've heard Roberts was our best guard about midway through the season. I would also expect one of the younger guys to push Palmer. Just a hunch but I would look for a few of the other guys to move on too.

I'm starting to think that Sugar Bear will be back. He's been tweeting a ton of pro-SU stuff, and a lot of "we hope you'll come back!" retweets lately. I get the sense he's leaning toward returning.
He needs too, he has a lot to work on to become a complete DE

Would be huge. Between Him, Ealey, Sheppard, and even Pickard not 100% sure any of them are back and then who's left there?

Just my opinion, but with a new system, and new schemes, being a returning starter doesn't mean as much. The fifth year seniors, would just be taking up repetitions that the younger players need to get better. I believe the staff goes with the younger players, there was nothing great about the starters the last 2 years, so starting fresh would be better.

But if that 5th starter is better, he should start.

This staff wants to win now. The best players will play now. One thing I will say is the new scheme may bring out different attributes thats needed for this scheme. So some lineman who didnt play much could emerge in this system. Hayes comes to mind. He tranformed his body and this will be his 4th year in the program. Ive always wondered why Roberts was never put at OT. He seems athletic. Maybe Adams and Palmer as guards.

How about Burton? The guy is huge...

I dont hear much about him at all. Im going to assume he's not in play until I start hearing his name mentioned
He was one of the late pickups in HCSS first recruiting class. He was a huge work in process then. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't move on. No chance at ever seeing the field
