Northwestern in 2012: Hot as hell in the Dome. A guy comes up and sits right behind me who is clearly messed up beyond the norm. My anxiety gets me on edge as I believe this guy is gonna puke. He lays down on the bleachers. People are taking pics of him, and ushers are checking on him. He occasionally raises his fist when he hears the roar of the crowd. Then he proceeds to puke into his water bottle. Didn't lose a drop. I don't know how he did it. It was at the last second of the game and I hightailed it out of there. As the kids say today, I can't even.

In my teens, so 1980-something, we visited the rest room during a basketball game. Picture this. Cigarette in one hand, beer in the other, pants and undies at his feet, pissing into the round pedal sink. Needless to say, I did not wash my hands.

Basketball: Two women who I assumed were mother/daughter with t shirts that said "My Vagina Bleeds Orange".

As an 8 year old, witnessing the final game at Archbold would be memorable. But the scene afterward was another event altogether. Goal posts coming down. Guys breaking up pieces of railing and bleeding from it, breaking up concrete, etc. Being on the field grabbing chunks of the end zone grass. Amazing. And yes, I still have them all.
