Last week: "No way Syracuse should've made it in."

This week: "Syracuse is in the Sweet 16 but they had the easiest path ever."

Next week???

They could go with what they did in 1996 and question the entire structure of the NCAA tournament because SU made it to the Final Four. If you recall, there was incessant discussion about reseeding the tournament after the Final Four was set because of a lowly 4 seed being on one side of the bracket. I said it in another post, but I just cannot fathom where the deep rooted hatred of Syracuse comes from.

I'm hoping we crush Gonzaga, not just because I want SU to win, but because we'll get a couple more days of my favorite narrative that I've been enjoying this week:

SU Fan: It's great to see Syracuse playing so well!
Media: No. They're not playing well. Gonzaga just stinks.
SU Fan: But weren't you just saying how good they were?
Media: Yeah, but we were wrong. They can't be good because they just lost so bad to Syracuse.
SU Fan: Ah, I see. Savvy analysis.

One things for sure... all of those tired segments of how to beat the zone will come out again. I swear I saw the one with Bobby Knight around 5 times.

Problem is, you can't beat the zone without the ACC logo to start from.

Exactly. How will they know where to position their "zone-buster"?
A: they won't.

Syracuse was lucky to have virtual home games in St. Louis and Chicago to reach the FF.
I do think it's nice we've gotten a break from the "Practically a home game for Syracuse."
