how long was that after Mac left - 24 years? 25? wait about that long (approx 20 years), take an objective look at the body of work, and then decide if/when to honor him

I guess it depends on what you mean by "honor." I'm not opposed to sone sort of recognition, but I don't think he deserves the same treatment as Coach Mac. I am aware that Pasqualoni coached longer and had a better record, but MacPherson is a far more significant figure in Syracuse history.

P was also a better coach. half the time, Coach Mac didn't know how many time outs he had left.

He should be honored as the program's second most winning coach. The problem is, he'd probably have to retire to attend the ceremony and coaches must coach...

It took SU 24 years to honor Coach Mac, who did a hell of a lot more. So I would say 2028 or later, that sounds about right

He certainly deserves it.

I agree, it should be done once he is retired. He had far too many major accomplishments during his time here to pretend it never happened. It will be a lot easier and less problematic with Cantor and Gross no longer in power.

If Addazio is still coaching BC at that time, it would ideally be as part of a game where BC plays SU in the Dome.

after he makes the college HOF, Syracuse will 'wake up' and honor him.

but like tomcat said, the wee one and tgd are gone, so it will be easier to do. P will have to be done coaching for sure, cant have his name up in the rafters and then have him come back as a coach or AD or in any capacity.

Dr. Gross was the one who fired him...and he won't be around in another 2 years.
