When does the schedule come out?

I know very little about lax but a former colleague of mine has a son who is going to be a freshman at Siena. I wanted to know if Syracuse is going to play the Gaels next season.

Her daughter just announced that she is accepting a scholarship to play at Ohio State. Free college for two of your kids based on lax skills is pretty nice.

Yes, it's the Saints. Gales is St. Marys

Schedule is usually not officially released until early January, but various insider types are usually able to figure out the teams on there by well before then, maybe late november or December. I will say right now there is likely a near 0% chance that Cuse plays Siena. Can't see us playing a game against a team in the MAAC unless we play Manhattan again (our defensive coordinator used to be their head coach). We played Siena in February for a long stretch but that ended about 7 years ago.

yeah it is for both, there is no college as the Gales that I know of.

I would check Sienna's athletics site before Syracuse. We are among the last in Division 1 to release our schedule. Yet we still lead the nation in attendance. They like to keep us in suspense as they know the Orange faithful will dome it up without knowing who we are playing.

Mens and women's hoops schedule are generally the reason for the delay. Most schools don't have this predicament.

It's also because of the ACC/ESPN and TV games. SU last year did have some late scheduling changes but it's usually a TV issue.

Excellent points. I did not think of those reasons and it makes sense.

It is funny that most of our opponents know the dates of the games and update their schedules before we can do it. Hence, the investigative discovery work that many on this site do as part of the annual schedule prediction thread.

I am excited about this season!
