When has Syracuse ever had to replace 4/5 starters?

02-03 from 01-02 roster was only 3!
Unless you count Ethan Cole who started two games

Williams, Shumpert, Thues,

I remember 3 many times but 4?

I am drawing a blank!

It's interesting to think about. What I think makes this interesting is that you can come up with a potential path to PT for just about everyone on the roster, but it's not quite clear who will log the majority of the minutes either. If you figure Guerrier/Hughes/Buddy/Marek/Sidibe (if healthy) will all be on the floor a bunch, I suppose that takes care of 4 of the five starting spots ... but there are questions about Guerrier (freshman -- should be good but we don't know for sure), Hughes (didn't rebound last year and we will be worse rebounding overall this season), Marek (Can he handle 30-ish minutes at the 5?) and Sidibe (health).

Additionally we have some guys who would seem to be in good spots to earn minutes: Braswell looks like the third forward, Goodine was signed early and could potentially fit at either guard spot, Carey is going to have every opportunity to win the PG spot and Girard -- the way he was recruited just doesn't feel like a guy JB expects to ride pine for a full season.

JBA and Edwards are wild cards and Washington would seem to be at the bottom of the guard depth chart ... but if sidibe isn't healthy those are minutes for someone and an if Carey flames out it's not crazy to think a healthy Washington could fill a role as the only real PG on the roster.
