If ESPN stats are correct, Iowa has shot over 50% FG and 44% 3PT through two games. SU has shot 45% FG and 27% 3PT through two games. For comparison, Cal, through two games shot almost 56% FG and 47% from 3PT. The latest rounds of games will change these stats, obviously, but it does give a glimpse of offensive aptitude of these teams.
The point being that these two teams can score and our offense is not so great. So if our D can't step up to keep pace with the scoring we're going to be in trouble, just like tonight. This is not just for the Iowa game but all our upcoming games, especially in the ACC where the defense is going to hound our 'shooters' and ball handlers.
Its clear what our team needs to work on. The question is how the team will respond.
