Where to hang out pregame near Alumni Stadium, Boston College?

I'm looking for any recommendations on where to go before Saturday's game. Anyone have suggestions? Prefer a sports bar type atmosphere where we can get pub food and drinks. Thanks in advance!

Ha ha ha….we used to live in Chestnut Hill. It is a nice residential area. Best you might do is the area off of Chestnut Hill Reservoir called Cleveland Circle but the pickings are slim for anything that is walking distance. A bit of a longer walk would be the Shops at Chestnut Hill.

Cleveland Circle is my recommendation...have an early dinner and walk to the game. Make sure the trains are still running postgame though.

Cityside in Cleveland Circle should have a bunch of SU fans. Still a longish walk. Only real option there.

Very few options in general there is absolutely nothing by the Boston College T stop thats closest so whatever you do don't go on that leg of the green line if coming from downtown if you want to go somewhere before. Not sure whats best near Chestnut Hill T stop everything has turned over but Union Street is pretty good in Newton Center.
