Yup, he subbed in on alternate possessions for the last bunch of plays.JB was switching the 2 at the end for offensive and defensive possessions.
Couldnt take BJ out for TRob,not in this game, not in crunch timeYea I noticed he switched for offense and defense but that was late. Felt like he went a while with the G, patterson, cooney, BJ, and obokoh lineup. Heck, nothing against obokoh but why not just put Roberson at the 5 right away?
Maybe JB sees him as more of a 3/4 than a 4/5.

I'd go with this. BJ had the hot hand, have to keep him in there in case it got close and he was also 3 for 3 from the stripe which is critical with 3 minutes left in the game.Couldnt take BJ out for TRob,not in this game, not in crunch time
As he should. Tyler took a beating against Pitt, probably still sore. But he wouldn't/couldn't shoot and was getting out-muscled by a 6'5 guy. And we don't give up that much having BJ in there ... he was scoring and ND is not huge inside.Yea I noticed he switched for offense and defense but that was late. I think what JB said is .. h'es a 3/4 who can play the 4. That much is obvious, since he is at the 4 right now with the (much bigger) guy at that spot being hurt. His move to "PF" is also, in part, due to his limitations ... at the 3 -- hard to play SF when you have a non-functioning jump shot. He was getting worked on the glass by connaughton (6'5), but he gets a free pass in my book b/c of the beating he took at Pitt.JB has said many times he is a 4. Obokoh can at least cover more of the paint in the zone with Rak gone, and in fact Chinoso looked pretty good tonight. 3 boards, a nice pick on BJs dunk, if he could just make even one of those FTs.

Agree on all counts. He definitely has talent as a rebounder, which allows him to play the 4 even though he is undersized. He can put up some numbers, but mostly in games against smaller teams. When the beef arrives, he gets exploited. But by no means am i giving up on him as a player... his gutsy performance in the Pitt game shows he has heart. And I think his performance against Duke shows how much damage he could do as a slashing 3 .. once his shot confidence arrives. He has much bigger upside at SF than at PF ... as I think we'll find out next year.I agree with that. I still see him developing into a 3 in JBs system, right now with his own limitations and the personnel JB has, TRob is stuck as the 4. I don't see him becoming a threat out to the 3 pt line, but he should become reliable from 15' in and with his length and rebounding in the zone, he will continue to become an even greater asset. To settle in as a career 4 here will require a back to the basket game, and he has shown none of that so far. So yes, he is a tweener, and that will limit him until he can gain the confidence and consistency needed in that mid range area to thrive as a 3.
