He actually coached them against Wisconsin, but I'm willing to blame Hop for that one anyway.if JB coached the whole season?
I assume we win 2-3 of Wisc, Clemson St.J and Georginatown

We would be ranked number one and about to go into our late Feb. swoon.
Where would be ranked if we never lost?if JB coached the whole season?

I have no comment, other than to say that ^^this^^ gif is quite annoying and makes no sense.
Doubtful. We haven't gotten a single vote in either poll yet. There are 46 teams with votes in the AP18-6 would put us in the top 20.
Doubtful. We haven't gotten a single vote in either poll yet. There are 46 teams with votes in the AP
poll and 44 teams with votes in the Coach's poll. We are 44th in the RPI. Beating FSU and BC this
week won't jump us 25 places. I think there are many teams with votes in the polls that are not
close to SU in talent. But unless they lose or SU wins impressively (which we have not done consistently),
SU won't move up.
We wouldn't be ranked.
Disagree. I think we win 3 of the 5 that we lost. St. John's is a definite, the other four were winnable games.
That puts us at 19-5, 18-6 minimum in my opinion. That's a Top 25 team resume.
Nah, that loss rests clearly on JB's shoulders as he could've done more for his team at the charity stripe in regulation...they were 11-20.
The one thing Boeheim has done when any of the starters are not playing well is put them on the bench for more than a few minutes at a time. Even with limited options. Cooney, Richardson, and Roberson have been pulled from games recently when not playing well. I think JB would have had Malachi on the bench against St John's quite a bit more than Hopkins did, or he would have told Malachi to cut down on his shooting. He had 8 more shots than any other SU player that day. Since JB has returned to the bench, I think both Cooney and Richardson have taken fewer low percentage shots. But that goes both ways, we can't blame Hopkins for Malachi shooting 2% from three during some of those losses.
It was a team effort on both sides of the court for SU in that game. Team shot 19.2% on 3-pointers, 35.8% overall. 61.3% from the FT line. 9 assists vs. 22 for SJU. Simply a horrible effort. Against a team that hasn't won since that game.the problem with the st johns game was our defense. the 2nd half it seemed like st johns got a layup or wide open 3 on every possession.
