on this list of centers, consider his upside too.

I consider Jared Sullinger a power forward and so do some draft sites. In the Wooden & Naismith preseason lists they call him a center.

The Wooden Award Preseason List showed the following to be centers

Alex Oriakhi 6-9 Jr. C Connecticut Big East

Joshua Smith 6-10 So. C UCLA Pac-12

Jared Sullinger* 6-9 So. C Ohio State Big Ten

Patric Young 6-9 So. /C Florida SEC

Festus Ezeli 6-11 Sr. C Vanderbilt SEC

The Naismith also has

Andre Drummond Connecticut Fr C Big East

Are there others who should be considered?

I think both Fab & Dion should be considered for inclusion on the next updates for the Wooden & the Naismith.

He's not scoring consistently at this stage of his developmental curve, but he's giving us a legitimate interior presence that teams have to react to when the ball goes inside. He's also finding his teammates with crisp passes if the defense collapses on him--sees the floor well for a big man.

And whether he scores a point or not, he's really hustling and finding ways to contribute in other ways--like rebounding and altering the shots that he doesn't block.

After last seasons frustrations, it is great to see. And I feel like he's just scratching the surface.

Melo already took it to Patric Young ... Sullinger is a forward but he is OSU ... Not impressed with Oriakhior Drummond -yet. Smith is so-so ... but I still say not that impressive. If Melo continues developing throughout the schedule ... outside of Sullinger ... he will be living up to his hype. He has been looking good

Fab has a tremendous upside...largely because he still has a lot to learn.
Especially offensively.
Could become our best center ever.
We'll see what happens when he squares off against some of the BE big bodies.
Looking forward to UConn for that reason.

Sporting News list from NOVEMBER already had Fab pegged.

List ignores a few people including Cody Zeller at Indiana.

When you consider that we don't run many plays for him in our system but yet he's been very effective in affecting the game. I rank him pretty high 2nd at worst, only because there are a couple of those players that I haven't had an opportunity to see play yet. He get's any resemblance of a reliable jumper, its a wrap. Not only will he be ranked higher, but he will be drafted pretty high too.

Don't overlook Ezeli from Vandy. He is coming off a strained knee that kept him out of the first 6 weeks. His recovery may be measured Feb 10 against Kentucky. He is a senior, but his story is similar to Melo's, limited basketball until a late teen, horrible as a FR, but a force on Off and Def
