the NBA shooting and lay-up drill last night or the NFL flag football game from a couple weeks ago? I could only tolerate watching about five minutes of either "game."

The nba all star game was amazing fun. the fans all had a great time. Steph was entertaining as hell

it’s ok that it’s not for you though.

I don't even watch anymore. It used to be fun when guys would actually try. I think guys used to take pride in those games. They wanted to win/prove themselves any time they were on the court, especially against their best peers. I don't think that same mentality exists now.

Steph made 16 threes in a game. You don’t see that very often. Early he was unguarded, but he was making them from thirty-five feet.

Both of these sports (NBA and NFL) are BRUTAL to a human's body.

Why would you want to see these guys go all out in a meaningless game? When I watch these games I'm just praying that no one representing the teams I root for gets hurt.

I hear you on football. On basketball not so much. Guys used to go harder. Not playoffs hard, but friends not wanting to be showed up by friends hard. Somehow players from earlier eras survived. They're not playing the whole game.

To each their own. The whole concept is that fans get to see the best against the best. If you like the way it is now cool. I used to find it fun. Not so much anymore.

I can't blame NFL players with how easy it is for those guys to have their careers derailed/end prior to their second contract. Maybe they should just play with flags? Let linemen catch passes? After those playoffs noone should complain about the NFL as a product especially with how garbage the NCAA playoffs have been.

NBA it isn't even a game anymore and that is kind of sad. But to be honest even if the players cared the game wouldn't be that good since it would be the same players up against each other every year the current stars in the league are that entrenched. They already all make so much that putting money on the line won't even improve the game.

Players don't want to lose the revenue so the games will continue. All Star games in Boston are like the Miami Hurricanes playing football in the Dome I'm convinced neither will happen ever again lol.

Players used to do coke before games and smoke cigarettes...but ok

Its true

Any Pittsburgh team from 70s or 80s
Mets of the 80s
Bulls of late 70s early 80s
Cowboys of late 80s early 90s
Lake show in the 80s

And on and on
Ok. What did that have to do with what I was talking about?

why would I watch that tomfoolery when I can watch Hockey or college ball?
