Pete actually very late on this one. This morning's NY Post has a big story on this, and although Orangeyes did link one story from the Post, my hardcopy newspaper has a gigantic headline in big block letters " 'Cuse off his list " across the top of the page, then a smaller headline "Prospect: Orange gone bad". I sure as hell hope (pray) that this bad pub doesn't start a domino effect with other recruits.

Sadly I think this illustrates why Bernie is done no matter what. Even if proven innocent, or at least not charged, this stigma will always follow him, and parents of recruits will always be thinking, "isn't that the guy who supposedly touched those kids?"

He has his right to make his choice. I think it's a little soon to allow the accusations to change your mind about a school...but what's the point of being levelheaded?

Agreed. The quotes of the mother are a perfect example of the ignorance we will see from people. Guilty until proven innocent.

I'd love to know what Jimmy was saying behind the scenes about those quotes. Lol.

The mother's comments are what's really interesting. It sounds like she doesn't have a clue about the facts or these accusations-
just that they"don't wanna be involved with that kind of thing". What?
This is knowledge by headline, information via hype, & guilty until proven innocent. Why not say, "we'll see what happens & then come to a conclusion"? Why assume the very worst? Is she related to Mark Schwartz?
If, & hopefully WHEN, Bernie gets cleared, its not gonna matter to people like this. All they know is we were in the news for "whatever", & that's enough for them.

Agree. It might cause you to question whether or not you want to come here, but he's class of 2014 wouldn't you wait to see how this plays out before eliminating a school you were previously high on. And why would you feel compelled to tell anyone now, other than to get attention.
