I believe ESPN reported that hey verified it's authenticity when they replayed it, could be worng but I heard it somewhere.

Either way, based on what I saw here yesterday, it won't surprise me at all if it's true.

It only took 8 years because they didn't have Laurie's voice in another recording to compare it to. Once they got that it was a matter of hours to determine

Since the P-S had the tape , did they take any steps to see if it had been doctored like she claimed? Why would they and ESPN take her at her word on such a explosive tape? They had to have some reason to dismiss it I'd think. Or doesn't anybody have to have a reason for what they do or don't do anymore? This is all beyond bizarre.
