I assume that the new coach will have a say in this but since One has not been made, here are my imaginative guesses:

Autry. - Gone
Coach BS- Gone
Coach Dan - Gone
Coach Griffin - Gone
GM Kline - Gone (but I would keep him)
Kiyan Anthony - Depends on Carmelo’s involvement next year, I feel he will stay
Donnie Freeman - Gone to the highest bidder, not NBA ready yet
Sadiq White - same as Kiyan, depends on Carmelo’s involvement next year, I feel he will stay
Nate George - I say C ya
Ibrahim Soare - Bye Bye, no offense, role player
Nate Kingz - Going to the highest bidder
Tyler Betsy - Gone, good offensively but not a complete player. Better than Chris Bell was for Syracuse.
Luke Fennell - Wasted year, back to Australia
Aaron Womack - Kept his eligibility but gone
Calvin Russell - will stay around but probably full-time football
Tiefing Diawara - Potential, depends on new head coach and which of his friends stay.

William Kyle - So sorry to see you go. A bright light in a bad season.
JJ Starling - Loyal to Syracuse basketball but was not a complete player but did have some good moments over three years
Bruce Zephir - what can you say?

That said, I would like to Betsy, Anthony, White, Diawara and Womack back next year but doubtful more than two come back.

Any comments?

So you expect no one back? That seems a bit much.

Kiyan and a few others. I hope Kingz, White & Betsey to go along with Kiyan.

I’m too lazy to look and see if any recent coaching changes kept anyone at all. I doubt there more than a few at the P4 level.

So now I will re-tell my Sadiq White story from Vegas. Talking to Sadiq about how he was liking SU, he said fine except he was not liking the snow. This was before any of the big snow. I told him, come on, N. Carolina has been getting a lot of snow the past few years. The team got back to Syracuse and it has been one huge snow storm after another. So unless he adjusted to the snow, I worry he will leave for milder climates or less snowy.

If he leaves cause of snow that is weak sauce.

Assuming an outside coach is hired, whole team is gone. The whole thing was absolutely broken and the entire memory of the experience must be purged.
I agree. I don’t think anyone will be back.

New coach will bring a few of his own guys to help set the culture and everyone else will be new.

If anyone on the current roster stays it’s because the new coach wanted them. I think there may be 1 or 2 that end up staying, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the new coach wipes the slate clean.

I could see us with only 8 or 9 scholarship players next year. We have to be realistic about the rebuild the new coach has in front of him.

not really. lots of kids decide they don't like the weather and transfer. Just because he plays basketball doesn't mean he has to stay regardless.
Yeah but isn’t the cash worth it in the end? I have to think he may be paid nicely if the next coach wants him. I think he has the most promise of anyone and would be worth it.

My top player is Kingz.

It should be Freeman, but something is just off. Coaching clearly didn’t help, but simply too erratic. The lack of understanding double teams was hard to understand.

I’d take White back too. And then Kiyan.

If we get no players back, so be it. Give me a coach that can coach.

I feel like Kingz and White would fit well in any system. Kingz is solid on both sides of the ball and has a great attitude. Any coach or player would want him on their team. Hopefully he gets another year of eligibility and decides to come back to SU.

Sadiq really seemed like he matured a lot over the course of the season, and started keeping his emotions in check while still playing aggressively. I think he's going to make one of those Warrick-like sophomore leaps and be a star, hopefully here.

Kiyan might be back, but the team's performance and his inability to get on the floor might have soured him (and Melo) to the idea of returning. Hopefully he works on improving his foot speed and ball-handling over the offseason so he can earn more PT next year whether it's here or somewhere else.

Freeman just seems ready to move on- he could head to another school for $$$, overseas for $$ or G League for $.

George, Betsey and Souare I think get bumped out by the new coach bringing in "his" guys.

Fennell, Womack and Diawara will be bringing their juicing station talents elsewhere next year. Rooting for them to kick ass and show they might've actually deserved some playing time here.

Hope Kingz gets a waiver and can stay. Would also like to see White, Anthony, and Freeman stay as well with a new coach that puts them in the right positions and pushes them to excel at those positions. No more dance around 1 on 1 and then shoot up a prayer 3. Seeing Carmelo at the game today made me think that he's still invested in the team and cares, and that Kiyan will be back. Might be wishful thinking. After those guys, whoever the new coach wants.
