The reason 4 guards transferred away from the basketball team 2 years ago was player concerns about fairness.  Losing all 4 forwards this offseason seems somewhat similar.

Players want to be treated fairly.

For that reason, and the potential upside if he got over his "happy feet" and has a good offensive line, he will get the first shot.  He could put up some numbers with his arm talent.  It's his heart that people question, and his decision making under pressure.
