Zona is in the top ten, I say no on Ohio st. If we aren't in the top then than Indiana isn't either...we've been more consistent than they have the past 25 years.

Our 10 are identical without me noticing before I posted. We differ in just a couple spots in the order.

Looking back in history, those two #1 seeds are the ONLY #1 seeds we've ever had. In the past 30 years we have 4 Big East tourney titles, 2 #1 seeds, 1 #1 seed, and made it past the sweet 16 5 times and 12 times booted out in the first or second round.

UCLA is blue blood. I think us and Florida are battling for the 10th place, another final four puts us in for sure.

I'm not debating our accolades, but it isn't a slam dunk that we're a top 10 program, there's nothing wrong with it if we're not. The reason it's a debate is because it's a tough measure on if we are or not.

Arizona has made the Elite Eight 10 times in the modern era (1985) and 6 times since 2000. SU has 6 and 3 in those same time periods. When a school makes the E8 I think it's a big accomplishment and I put a lot of emphasis on it.

Since 2000 Zona is 28-14 in the NCAAT and SU is 24-11 with the last 5 years being Zona 11-4 while SU is 11-5, pretty close.

UCLA definitely is one of the top 10 all-time programs - they're number one - but I don't think they're top 10 right now. I think Arizona is clearly the best program out west these days.

I think what a program does recently is more important than what they did long term and I was answering the question with that in mind. If you or anyone else thinks SU is the better program I don't have any problem with that, SU does have the most recent NC and FF.

You cited a reason why we would be considered one of the 10 best in the country which was that we were a #1 seed twice in the tournament since 2010, they made it to the finals twice in that same time frame.

I agree that they are not a top 10 squad, probably not top 50, but there is some big highs and big lows the past 5 years, unfortunately the highs don't include a NC.

If you gave 16 points for a 1 seed, 15 points for a 2 seed and so on. Here is the top 50 programs for the NCAA tournament Era and all ACC programs included this was done by a UNC fan. Syracuse is definitely in a bottom end of the top IMO.
