Fundamentally, this goes beyond man-vs-zone for me.  But I think in the main, your assessment is the correct way to frame it up -- do we want to double down on an approach that appears to be out of synch with the modern college basketball game, or do we want to go in a different direction?

I'm expecting the latter.  If Wildhack was planning to restrict himself only to in-house candidates, then they would have already named a head coach in waiting to offset the negative recruiting being used against us, about JB not being around much longer.
