A 2 Star level player scored 33 points against us last night. Since Jan 2010, that has only been done by two other players. Who are they?

Clue: Their initials are OP and KW

When I first saw the thread title I was going to guess Colgate or Princeton or something like that :) I know we held Colgate to 43 in 2010.

First person I thought of was Kemba. He definitely had over 33 in the BET game that went to OT against us in 2011.

Wyatt last year in late December. Killed us. Kid balled.

so was it 3 diff players with 2 different initials?

Nice job. Although I don't think anyone got both.

Otto Porter 2/03/13 had 33 points at the Dome. The rest of Hoyas had just 24 pts between them and SU had 57. An amazing performance.
Kemba Walker 3/11/11 had 33 pts against SU in the Garden.

Here's the point of the post. Porter and Walker were high NBA draft picks. Branden Frazier will not be drafted. How does a kid of his caliber go off for 33 pts against an aspiring NCAA championship team on their home court? I know it is just the second official game of the season and we were playing various line-ups, but there is a problem here defensively with this team and JB needs to immediately address it.

SU will win, but someone on the other team tends to have a career night. Just a trend I've noticed in the non conference schedule.

Because he shot lights out and hit all of his free throws. :noidea:

Good catch. Well done. Amazing how they are all 33.

Well he shot 64% vs CJ's 54%. Very good, but not spectacular. He only hit 4 threes. It was lousy defense that left him open for those shots and sent him to the line so many times.

In what world is shooting 64% from the field on that number of shots "very good but not spectacular?" Especially for a wing player?

Those weren't all dunks. It was an impressive offensive performance, by any benchmark / barometer.

Yep. He's good. Granted he wasn't guarded well but he made all kinds of shots including some nice mid-range floaters and stuff.

Someone is going to score points for every team. He was the kid for them. He was a solid shooter and we took him, and Fordham in general, too lightly.

Let's try not to get all doom and gloom because some kid had a career game against us in the second game of the season when we were blowing them out and then decided to take our foot off of the gas.

You can't stop Brenden Frazier. You can only hope to contain him.

He figured out how to travel to Earth's core and faced off against a t rex. Im not shocked he figured out the 2-3 zone and wasnt intimidated by the hulk.

I'm not too concerned. JB is still getting a feel for what defensive combinations work. Wyatt and Porter had huge games against us last year and the season worked out ok. It was only game #2 last night.
