Which coaches should stay next year, and which should be replaced? ...and why?

Scott Shafer - HC
Tim Lester - OC/QB/Recruiting
Chuck Bullough - DC
George McDonald - WR
Tim Daoust - DL
Bobby Acosta - TE
Joe Adam - OL
Clark Lea - LB
Fred Reed - DB
DeAndre Smith - RB

I think:
HCSS - Stay <-- I want to see what he can do with a legit staff
Tim Lester - Stay (QB/Recruiting) <-- Recruiting has been pretty decent, and I'm still on the fence about him as a QB coach - we will have to see how the next year and a half unfolds. I would not keep him at OC, though.
Chuck Bullough - Can <-- What has he done?
George McDonald - Can <-- This one is obvious
Tim Daoust - Stay <-- He is quality. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him take a stab at DC
Bobby Acosta - Stay<-- He is well connected in NJ, which is important - He also hasn't been here long enough to establish himself as a good coach or a bad coach.
Joe Adams - Can <-- Our OL have regressed a LOT since Atkins
Clark Lea - Stay <-- We need stability at this position
Fred Reed - Can <-- Our DB's leave a lot to be desired
DeAndre Smith - Stay unless we can get someone good

We have 7 games left.

Relax.
Yups, and that includes games against FSU and Clemson.

I'll put our win over/under at 5, but we should be around 7 as an over/under.

win 5? wow. i hope so.

I think that we can beat Wake (they're horrible), NCSU, and get lucky once.

4.5 might have been a better number.

ohhh, i thought you meant 5 out of the remaining 7 games.

Let's see what the D can do when not on the field so long. Part of their problem is the poor offense.

For me it will all depend on how the season ends. But this season so far has been a dumpster fire from the top down. If it continues then I want to see the house cleaned out from the top down. The program is undisciplined and immature and that starts from the top down. The decision making by Shafer and they way he acts on the field leads a lot to be desired from someone that I want to run my program. He needs to lead by example better. Dropping -Bombs on the field, throwing the visor, getting 15 yard penalties called against you and overall acting like a child needs to be cleaned up. You wonder why our team is so undisciplined look no further then the head coaches actions on the sidelines. If things don't turn around the next 7 games on and off the field then I can see Syverud just blowing it up and cleaning house.

I am in Shafer's corner and want him to succeed but this season has brought many doubts that he is a true leader of a D1 P5 program. Time will tell I am not ready to close the book on him yet.
