They both indicated what never occurred to me - that in today's environment it takes courage for a program not to wear the new fangled stuff but to stick with tradition.  I think that's true. There is an "Emperor's New Clothes" process underway in college football. The teams are junking the classic uniforms and wearing these god awful uniforms - and despite how ugly most of them are, most folks are going along with the "style" and declaring the new uniforms to be attractive - when they are anything but attractive.    
 
The photo above reflects the great SU classic home uniform and the very sharp, classic Louisville away uniform. No black. No grey. No metallic helmets.
 
You can look at the photo and instantly identify the teams.
