- The problems with the Nebraska comparison is that we’d perfectly set the Huskers up by playing our all-time worst game in getting shut out by Rutgers in the Dome, 0-19, the week before. We’ve been competing well with LSU and NC State and just beat Pitt. We have their full attention.
- Teams that are used to competing for national championships don’t overlook anybody. We will get their ‘A’ game.
- If Kelly Bryant can’t play or is too limited, they got to a 5 star QB recruit, Hunter Johnson. I just listened on the radio to a Clemson reporter being asked if they anybody like Sammy Watkins. The answer was “Yes. Nine of them.”
- We are going against the best defense in the country. Anchored by 6-5 340 Dexter Lawrence and 6-4 310 Christian Wilkins with excellent ends, linebackers and “three deep on each side in corner”. They will eat our running game in one gulp, blanket our receivers and get after Dungey.
- The Dungey clock keeps ticking. Is this the game?
- We’ll need a perfect game just to compete. Have you seen one yet? We make too many penalties, ill-timed turnovers and other errors and we’ve done it in each game so far.
- If Clemson keeps moving the chains, it has the same impact if we do. Our defense will tire and what we have at the top of the depth chart is basically what we have.
- Our offensive line vs. their defensive line. Ugh.
