Minor thing in the grand scheme of that game but it seems strange that we sub in BMK when we press. Seems like you'd want your best shot blocker back there in case they break the press and have numbers.

Maybe it's just a concern over Fab getting in further foul trouble but it seemed like the few times they actually broke the press they went right at Keita and got to the line.

Its exactly for the foul issue. Melo would not last half a game if he was in during press time.

Fab would totally get in foul trouble, as good of a shot blocker as he is, he is our most aggressive big man, and would rack up fouls if he was in for the press

the reason we do it, is it gives our pressing players a chance to get into position.

pretty simple. shot blocker with better quickness for the press, and fouls go to the backup..

Keita is most likely given instructions not to allow an easy basket. Foul them if they're going to have an open layup. Can't do that with Fab. When they press, but Keita in so if fouls are racked up by the center, it's not on Fab. That way, Fab can be in there late in the game. Makes perfect sense.

Yeah, I like the way Jimmy handles it, for the most part. Fab had 2 fouls int he first half, so no reason to risk him picking up a third bailing out the press.
