Why Duke Will Win

- Because Duke is a power five team and we haven’t beaten a power five team all year. They are one of the “beatable” teams that were on our schedule other than Clemson but we keep getting beat by the beatable teams.

- Duke’s strength is their defense. Ours is …. Our punter?

- Quentin Harris is something we haven’t seen much of this year but which has terrorized us in the past: the dual threat quarterback who can scramble and make big plays. He’s rushed for 418 yards and 6 scores and passed for 1,602 and 14 scores.

- Like SU, Duke is against the wall. They need this win to make a run at a bowl game.

- There are a lot of good coaches in the ACC but I think if you counted the little gray cells you’d find that David Cutcliffe has more of them than anybody.

- Duke is the home team and you know what that means.
(Ok so it’s the New Jersey Devils but you get the idea.)

We don’t play in many cold, rainy games. A dome seems to help that. What’s the last cold, rainy game we won? Maybe it doesn’t matter. It’s certainly an oddity, the loss to Wake is the last one I remember and I recall it wasn’t nearly as cold.
