-          We haven’t won on the road all year. In each game we’ve gotten off to a lousy start: 3-21, 7-26, 3-13. A start like that will allow the Noles to get their mojo back and suddenly we are playing FLORIDA STATE, not florida state.

-          FSU bottomed out vs. Boston College. There is nowhere for them to go but up. Theya re sick of losing and they are going to take it out on somebody. We have a long history of teams getting well against us.

-          They will have a more highly recruited player at every positon. It will be our 2-3 star guys vs. their 4-5 star guys. They just need the fever to break and they will dominate. And they will be playing angry.

-          They looked bad vs. BC but their previous losses were in a  game vs. Alabama that was competitive  until the fourth quarter when Francois went down, a 6 point loss to NC State, (who beat us by 8), a 4 point loss to Miami, (who beat us by 8) and Louisville by 3. They didn’t fall part. They came down to our level.   They won’t stay there.

-          Eric Dungey is a literally “Fearless Leader” but he had a lousy game against Miami. The Canes realized that all our passes tend to be toward the sideline and flooded the outside zones. They also knew that Dungey tend to focus on 1-2 receivers and ignore open guys elsewhere and doesn’t really have an NFL arm. They covered those 1-2 guys and played center field. Florida State has those films and they know what to do.

-          Remember Andrew Robinson? Amid the wreckage of the 2007 season, he put up pretty good numbers. He did it despite being sacked 54 times. We thought the next year that QB was one position we didn’t have to worry about. Robinson was a shell of himself and couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. The most common reason sited was that he’d taken too many hits. Was Dungey showing the impact of too many hits against Miami?

-          Last year, after a “much needed” bye week, we lost at Clemson 0-54. The year before we lost at USF 24-45, (after a 3-1 start with an encouraging performance vs. LSU). The year before we lost at Pitt 7-30. The year before that we lost at home to Clemson 14-49. It’s hard to hit the “on” switch after you’ve hit the “off” switch.
