- Because they are Florida State and we aren’t. they will have a more highly recruited player at nearly every positon.
- Because the game is at Florida State, where we’ve never won.
- Because Cam Akers will make at least one long run for a score and Tamorrion Terry will catch at least one long pass and we won’t be able to match it.
- Because Marvin Wilson will spend the afternoon in our backfield.
- If Tommy DeVito is limited or can’t play or becomes injured and we have to go to Clayton Welch, forget it. Welch’s dead ducks and shot puts won’t do it against the Noles.
- Neither will 5-8 Antwan Cordy trying to cover the 6-4 Terry or 6-3 Keith Gavin or 6-2 Tre’Shaun Harrison won’t cut it, either.
- Our injured list is long and never seems to shrink:

it includes 7 guys who are definitely out. Trill Williams is doubtful. Clayton Welch is questionable and Tommy DeVito probable, (Rex Culpepper –get ready.) bear Williams is ‘questionable’ but he has been for several games and has not played. Owie!
- Willie Taggart is about to be fired they say. He was about to be fired in 2014 when he was 7-21 and about to play Syracuse at South Florida. But his team rose up and beat us 45-24 and began a streak of going 18-3 through the end of the following season, during which they averaged 41 points a game. Willie Taggart teams can get well very suddenly. They are like a bobbit worm, waiting for someone to get too close.
