My father played football for SU in the mid to late 70's and I was surprised to see him mad when I told him to expect Marrone to be the Browns' head coach very soon. He normally is fairly lackadaisical about the team since G-Rob but they had finally given him hope and he was caught up in it. The part he is angriest about is how he said it was his dream job and Marrone was a former player himself so he believed him, as did most of us and it has sort of been spit on. I get that things change but people don't forget the last impressions of you and he hasn't been direct at all with the fans or alumni or even the ex-players. We have a right to be angry and upset, that doesn't change the fact that I will thank him for what he did for the program these past four years. I just was hoping he'd see us through the ACC transition at least and continue to improve our team on and off the field.
 
I was one of the biggest Marrone supporters (throughout his time here, not just the good times) but if he doesn't want to be here anymore, then I don't want him to be here anymore either.
