- They are 9-0 and we are 4-5. Do the math.

- The rich, (in wins) aren’t all that different. They out-gain their opponents 430-337, (+93). We out-gain our opponents 464-369, (+95). But here is the difference: They are 14th in the country in turnover margin, (+9). We are #91, (-5). They are #1 in the country in red zone offense, having scored 38 times in 39 opportunities, (32 touchdowns, 79%). We are 83rd, having scored 32 times in 41 opportunities, (24 touchdowns, 59%). That’s allowed them to be 36th in the country in scoring, (34ppg) while we are 74th (26ppg). They are also a bit better on defense and the turnover margin helps them give up 22ppg, (35th) to our 26ppg, (57th).

- Beyond that, they do what’s needed to win when it’s time to do it. We don’t.

- Teddy Bridgewater is the best quarterback Louisville has ever had and they’ve had some good ones. I he doesn’t jump to the pros, he will become their first Heisman Trophy winner. He’ll find a way to win.

- The Cardinals are one of those big, mean teams that dominate the line of scrimmage against us. They are going to do it again.

- Somebody wake up Scott Shafer. His defense has given up 1022 yards, 629 on the ground and 71 points in two games. When they wake him up he’s going to be like Andre Dawson in that commercial: “What year is it?”

- Dear Jeremiah Kobena: It’s called the three point hold: if the football is making contact with the your hand, your arm and your chest, you get to keep it. If you hold it at arm’s length while trying to leap over a defender like you are Superman, (which you aren’t), the other team winds up with it.
