-  A bad Syracuse defense  can’t afford to lose three starters- end Luke Archinega, linebacker Parris Bennett and cornerback Corey Winfield. But we did.

-  Both teams have true freshman quarterbacks. Louisville’s Lamar Jackson is the type of mobile athlete that gives us, (and everybody else a lot of problems)> Eric Dungey runs the option but I’ve yet to see evidence that he is a great scrambler or improviser.

-  Jamari Staples has 229 receiving yards in the last two games, including 10 catches for 133 yards and 2TDs. With Corey Winfield out, guess who is likely to be covering him.

-  Louisville K John Wallace has 60 career field goals. If they need #61, he’s a good bet.
