-          They have beaten 6 power conference teams since they became an FBS team, five of them on the road. Three of them were ACC teams. There will be no sense of awe when they come into the Dome.

-          They are used to shoot outs. Last year they beat Missouri at Missouri 51-45 and Florida Atlantic 77-56. We have a good college quarterback in Eric Dungey. They have a top-line NFL prospect in Brent Stockstill, with another one in Richie James to throw to.  Our defense will be stressed far beyond anything they faced last we and we’ve already lost a major player on that side of the ball.

-          Winning the first game big meant nothing last year and it’s going to mean nothing this year, either. We’ve had a lot of wins like the CCS one in recent years and none of them meant anything once we played anybody any good.. Just don’t lose and don’t get hurt, (and we lost Cordy, so it was a loss in that respect).

-          If we can’t run the ball against Central Connecticut, we aren’t going to run it against anybody. We are going to be a one dimensional team that tries to out-score people by chucking the ball. And our pass offense is all along the sideline: bubble screens and shots down the line. It won’t be enough.
