- Because the one thing our team is really good at is finding ways to lose. We’ve done it 8 times in a row to FBS teams. The only question is: how will we do it this time?

- Because Pittsburgh has beaten us 7 times in a row and 8 of nine. It’s not just that they have our number. They’ve out-recruited us over that period, too and have bigger and better athletes. They are the team we, (especially Scott Shafer), most fears- a big physical team that just pounds away at you. That’s what they are going to do to us tomorrow night.

- Their bad start and our (sort of) good start were illusions. They are a strong team that has found itself and will now contend for the Big Ten title. Meanwhile teams have film on what we did to roll up all that early yardage and they are making adjustments to stop it.

- We get big yardage but not big plays. We continue to have to put on 10-12-14 plays drives to score which means that we have to run 10-12-14 plays in a row without making a mistake, which we have a hard time doing, to put it mildly.

- So Justin Pugh is back. Hurray!. But we may be expecting too much from him and from his teammates who have had to move around to make room for him. We have a new offensive line but will the whole be equal to the sum of it’s parts the first time out?

- We have Ryan Nassib but they have Tino Sunseri who two years ago came into the Dome and three four TD passes in a 14-45 rout. He can do it again.

- They also have Ray Graham, the best running back in the conference and one of the best in the country. He can run for power, break the big one and also catch passes. He’s better than anyone we have, at least as a senior.

- Their wide-outs, Mike Shanahan and Devin Street, are not only excellent but they are big, 6-5 and 6-4. They can go up over people to make big plays.

- We have a guy that can make big plays in Marcus Sales but if Pitt shadows him with a safety they can take him out of the game because we won’t even throw to him.

- But don’t worry. It’s all Doug Marrone’s fault. He’s just got to do a better job. And he’ll keep telling us that.

How awesome would it be if Pitt won the big ten title

Don't laugh, SWC is a soothsayer. If he says it might happen, it might happen.

I gotta say, I am as big a Pitt koolaider as there is, and even I didn't predict that one.

The bad thing is I've got to leave it there or your posts would make no sense. They might have been able to win the Big Ten title. There have been several times when they tried to get into the that conference and we were cosndiered, too. Then came G-Rob.

Ray just isn't back to where he was. He looked a step slow last night. Congrats on the win last night. It is nice to know that the next time Pitt and Syracuse meet up, it will be as ACC foes. Good luck the rest of the way.
