- The Stony Brook game was followed by the Minnesota game. The Pittsburgh was followed by the Rutgers game. The Connecticut game will be followed by this game. We are actually +2 in turnovers at home, (7-5). We are -9 on the road (1-10).

- Don’t let the UCONN game fool you: that was about how bad they were, not how good we are.
- Those runs that were so successful vs. the Huskies came from two basic plays: a draw out of the shotgun and a fake draw out of a shotgun in which the quarterback carried the ball. Any quality defense will stuff that.

- 0-27, 10-27, 10-41, 13-45, 20-34, 13-9, 17-37, (after USF had four straight losses). Have things really turned around? They recruit players away from Florida, Florida State and Miami. We try to get them away from Connecticut, Rutgers and Temple.

- BJ Daniels may be a disappointment overall but he has huge games against us. Last year he ran for 117 yards and passed for 254.

- These teams play close games. SU is -1, -13, +11, -7, +1, -8, +30. USF is +21, +1, -10, -4, -13, -9, -2. Do you know who usually wins close games? Neither do I. But it helps to be at home, where we are 3-1 and they are 1-2, with the loses to Rutgers and Florida State, whoa re 14-1 between them. We are 3-4.

- Speed, baby, speed.
