- Oops! I forgot one comparative score: Syracuse 712 Monmouth 50. South Carolina 70 Monmouth 69 in overtime.
- I think we have more up front than they do. Thornhill is actually their leading rebounder. They graduated their entire starting line from last year’s team.
- I also think we have more depth. They are getting 76% of their scoring from their starting line-up. We are getting 62%. If Moyer were playing, I’d give our second team, (Gillon, Battle, Moyer, Thomsposn and Chukwu) a good shot at beating them.
- Going into this season it appeared that three point shooting would be a problem for the Gamecocks.(Dozier was 3 for 21 and Thornwell was more known for his defense and driving game). If they shots aren’t falling, Chukwu with his shot blocking should be a problem for them.
- Martin is a man-for-man guy. We have a bunch of players who will welcome facing aman for man after the zones the smaller teams have been throwing at us.
