- It’s the 5th game of the second season. Coach is adding more and more to his offense and defense as they mature. The team we’ve been isn’t the team we are or will be.
- NC State just got a huge win over Florida State and will be taking on Lamar Jackson Thursday night. Can you say “trap game”?
- People talk all the time about our offense, which is still rather limited. The reason we are a much better team than last year is our defense, which has pressured our opponents and, despite the occasional lapse, kept us in games. They got the first turnover vs. LSU last week and they will get the first pick against Ryan Finlay this week.
- Sterling Hofrichter is a force and he can pin the Wolfpack back just as he did the Tigers.
- I think Sean Riley will be determined to come back strong after last week’s drop and he’s a guy who can impact a game in several ways.
- I also think we are going to see more and more of Mr. Pierce.
- This team is not undefeated. A mediocre South Carolina team beat them 35-28:

We can do that.
- It’s hard to beat good program 9 times in 10 games. It’s harder to beat them 10 times in 11 games. We are due.
- I heard a sportswriter from Durham, (yes, I know NC State is in Raleigh) being interviewed on the radio as I type this. He said that “Whenever you start to think the Wolfpack is pretty good, they never fail to find a way to disappoint you.
- We need to beat Pitt, Wake and BC and get a scalp from somebody else. The somebody else comes this week.
