- With the bowl game assured and the brief quarterback controversy over, the pressure is off and this team can just play football for fun. They are going to be full of confidence and it’s going to show on the field and on the scoreboard.
- Wake’s four wins have come against Tulane, Towson State, Rice and Louisville. Towson is and FCS team. Tulane, Rice and Louisville are a combined 6-19.
- Common opponents: We lost to Clemson 23-27. They lost to Clemson 3-66. We beat Florida State 30-7. They lost to the Noles, 17-38. Comparative scores may be meaningless but those are some big differences.
- The teams they lost to have a combined record of 26-6, (.8125). They include the top two ranked teams in the nation. But guess what? We have a record of 6-2 (.750) and are ranked 19th by the playoff committee. Wake lost those four games by a combined 81-198, (20-50).
- Before they changed defensive coordinators, they were giving up 45 points a game. Now they are only giving up 40.
- This is the beginning of our ‘revenge tour’: Wake Forest, Louisville, Notre Dame and Boston College. Run the table and we’re in the Fiesta Bowl. Things will be going our way.
6-2 and 3+ to do!
LET’S GO ORANGE!!!
