- Pitt has performed better than we have but they haven’t blown anybody out. They’ve won their four games by a total of 17 points and that includes barely scraping by Delaware and Ohio U. We’ve played three teams on that level and beat them by a total of 81 points.

- The last four games in Syracuse between these teams have been 14-13, 16-17, 20-23 and 27-24. That totals 77-77.

- The teams are similar this year. They have strong defensive lines, strong kicking games and low-gear offenses with weak running games. This game will be close, too.

- They have Alex Kessman who had a career game against us last year. We Sterling Hofrichter and Andre Szymt, the best kicking duo in the country. They had an off game vs. NC State and will make a big comeback in the Dome. And good kicking wins close games.

- Sophomore blue chip safety Paris Ford will miss the first half due to a targeting call. That’s a spot DeVito could exploit.

- We have a long injury list but so does Pitt: Pittsburgh Panthers Injuries - NCAAF Football - USA TODAY
Of the three guys definitely out, Weaver was a returning starter from last year. Tipton became a starter this year and Camp was a second string defensive tackle who probably would have played a lot. Among the ‘maybes’, A. J. Davis is their second leading rusher. Elias Reynolds was a returning starter at MLB. Chase Pine became a starter at OLB this year. Jason Pinnock became a starting CB this year. Vincent Davis, Will Gipson, Albert Tucker and Kyle Vreen were not on the two deep as the season began, per Athlon.

- Turnovers…turnovers…turnovers…

- Let’s show the team we are still behind them. Scream yourself hoarse. Come home sounding like Ed Oregeron:

3-3 and 6+ to go!

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

I actually think this is the weakest set of “Why We Win” arguments you’ve done since I started paying attention. You’ve got to be thinking this is a loss.

Before the game, thinking about their defensive line vs. our offensive line. :(

Hopefully after the game: :)

That’s the real key. The offensive line has been downright dreadful this year. Sample size this year shows that it likely won’t get any better so have to figure out ways around this huge weakness in order to win.
