- It comes down to being at home on Senior Day and, hopefully, a supportive crowd to send the team off for the year.
- We will need all hands on deck, including DeVito and Jordan. We’ve got plenty of other weapons, too: Jackson, Harris, the tight ends Hackett and Benson, Neal, Howard and Adams. And both DeVtio, (when healthy) and Welch can run the ball.
- This is the last Hurrah for Alton Robinson and Kendall Coleman and 8 other seniors on the two-deep. I think they have one more big game.
- Without Surrat and Washington, Newman will be missing two major weapons. Hinton is really the only receiver we need to worry about.
- Then there will be the chess match. Steve Stanard came up with an innovative stunt against Duke: he sent his star ends rushing to the inside while the tackles went out-side and around them. This confused the Duke linemen and led to a no TD three takeaway performance. Louisville, will all their speed, saw that on film and ran to the outside constantly. Our tackles never got there and they were off to the races. Stanard will have to come up with something else this week. Maybe it will be something Wake isn’t ready for.
