[QUOTE="SWC75, post: 4505464, member: 289"] - Garrett Shrader didn’t opt out and he’s said to be fully healthy now, meaning he’s a threat to run or throw. - He’ll get the chance to decide what he wants to do because Minnesota doesn’t pressure the backfield, (they were last in the country in TFLs). Obviously, they make it work but the 6-4 Shrader might be able to find the 6-5 Oronde Gadsden or the 6-6 Damien Alford anyway. - Sean Tucker is gone but LeQuint Allen averaged 6.9 yards per carry to Sean’s 5.1. This will be Allen's big chance to prove that he can carry the running game as well as Tucker. - All the defensive injuries means that we’ve got a sea of guys who have played. Nobody’s a freshman anymore. - We lost OC Robert Anae and DC Tony White but their replacements, Jason Beck and Nick Monroe, know the offense and know the defense and know what they are doing, and our players are buying into it. - Minnesota has some nice numbers but their opponents were 71-84. Ours were 81-65. They played one ranked team, Penn State, (also their only opponent with double figure wins) and got clobbered 17-45. (They didn’t have to play Michigan or Ohio State.) We played three ranked teams. Clemson was the only one with double figure wins and we lost to them 21-27 after being up by two touchdowns. We played 9 bowl teams. They played 6. We played a 1-10 team in Wagner. They played 0-11 Western Illinois and the two worst power conference teams in the country, 1-11 Colorado and Northwestern. Not impressed. - Syracuse has an all-time bowl record of 16-9-1. Only five schools have a better winning percentage. Our record in major bowl games, (Orange, Sugar, Cotton and Fiesta), is 2-6-1 so in the lesser bowls we are a fairly amazing 14-3. - Yankee Stadium is OUR HOUSE!
