- Minnesota was supposed to be our bust-out game, where the offense just left an opponent in the dust. It was just postponed a couple of weeks. This is that game.

- The return of Justin Pugh and the movement of Sean Hickey to his natural position, right tackle, (which seemed unnatural to it’s previous occupant), with stabilize the line and help prevent the four turnovers that plagued us in the Minnesota game. Those turnovers didn’t produce scores for Minnesota. They prevented our offense from getting into the rhythm that this kind of offense requires. We couldn’t score and we couldn’t wear them down.

- The changes should also reduce the number of penalties, which ill have the same impact. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Now we are really going to take off.

- Our young runners are growing up and Ashton Broyld is due for his big break out game sometime soon. The improvements in the offensive line will speed that development up.

- Our defense is growing up, too. You’ll see better coverage and better tackling as we go along. Hopefully the names Marcus Pierce-Brewster and Deon Goggins will be heard more an more, as well.

- These guys have got to be sick of losing and they’ve been steaming over the Minnesota game for two weeks. Pitt’s the bug and we are the windshield.

- From 1964-72, we won 7 of 9 in this series. Then Pitt won 11 in a row. Then we had a 16-1-1 stretch. Now they’ve won seven of eight. This, too shall pass. And so shall we.

1-3 with 8 to be…

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

having rewatched the minn game its even harder to see how lost that game. Minn did not stop the offense the entire first half and yet we only scored 3 pts. a couple drops, a couple TO's, a couple of penalties, and a couple of strange run calls. if that continues we will struggle every game. clean that up and we will move the ball fine.

I would like to add to this list our secret weapon tino sunseri. He is a direct descendant of Troy nunes and tony romo. Trick or treat at its best.

You're right and he has a lot of confidence when he plays SU and the defense has to take that away.

I hope Fleming helps with the inside the 5 yard line attack, it's nice having a tall receiver that can jump in that situation.
