- Who has Cincy beaten? Among their five victims are Delaware State, (not Delaware), Miami, (the one in Ohio and they aren’t what they sue to be, either), Fordham, (and the Seven Blocks of Granite didn’t play), Pittsburgh, whom we also beat, and Virginia Tech, who finally sucks again.
- Against a clearly tougher schedule, we are averaging ten more yards per game, (461-451), and giving up twenty fewer (357-377). People think they are the better team. People are wrong.
- Yeah, we gave up a lot of yards and points to a lousy South Florida team. Marrone and Shafer already made the adjustments to that style of offense at halftime. That’s why we made our comeback, out-scoring the Bulls 34-13 in the second half. In fact, playing the Bulls was a perfect way to prepare for Cincinnati. This game is going to be like the second half in Tampa, not the first half.
- Yeah we had a lot of turnovers in the first half of the season. We fixed that and have none so far in the second half of the season. In the game two years ago- the one time we’ve beaten them since 2005- we got 17 points off of Cincinnati’s turnovers. And in their two losses, they had 5 turnovers to 2. The shoe is now on the other foot.
- Munchie Legaux is not BJ Daniels. He ahs straight-ahead speed but no moves. Shafer’s men will be zeroing in on him. And if we can keep him in the pocket, he’s not going to beat us with his throwing.
- Without Stewart, they will not be able to put enough pressure on Nassib and Ryan will have another big day.
- Jerome Smith is finally going to score a touchdown!
- Stephen Wright used to ask why they don’t make the whole plane out what they make the “indestructible black box” out of. SU is soooo good at comebacks. Why not do what they do during the comebacks from the beginning of the game? Doug is going to tell the troops in the locker room before the game that they are already down by 20. The whole game will be our “comeback” from that….
