-  Williams is great but we have Smith. We also have rising stars George Morris and Devonte McFarland. And Terrel Hunt can run the ball. Man, I wish we would come out in a traditional fullback-halfback-quarterback backfield and use three of them at once. We could give the Eagles some of their own medicine. Maybe we will anyway.

-  Terrell Hunt is beginning to figure it out. He threw the ball well against Pitt. If Eskridge had managed to hold onto that ball, we’d be wondering which bowl game we were in. And I like the fact that we got guys like Alvin Cornelius and Quinta Funderburke out there. Those guys may just have something to show the coach in this game.

-  We do fine against teams that come right at us. This may be the ultimate test but Mr. Williams is going to have plenty of company in this game. Coach Shafer will enjoy counting the helmets in those pictures he likes to take after plays.
