- Do the math: Central Michigan 38 Purdue 17. Syracuse 40 Central Michigan 3. Notre Dame 30 Purdue 14. Yeah, I know, it means nothing. But doesn’t it suggest that we can compete in this game?

- We lost the game before the big game. It doesn’t mean that we’re going to lose the big game. We got shot out by Rutgers in 0-19 in 1984, (man, you shoulda seen that one!). The next week we beat Nebraska. Sometimes losing the game before the big game can give you an advantage. The big team thinks they will have an easy time of it and our boys get mad at themselves and take it out on the big team.

- Brian Kelly isn’t the reincarnation of Rockne, Leahy, Parseghian or Holtz, (I think the latter two are alive, although I’m not sure about Holtz). Kelly’s such a cold fish he couldn’t be the reincarnation of anybody.

- We out-rushed Maryland 370-89. That’s pretty scary stuff. That usually means you crush the opponent. We looked like Auburn on their run to the national championship game last year.

- Looking up Notre Dame’s defensive numbers, I noticed who was #28 in the nation with 325 yards per game surrendered. Syracuse. We’re actually ranked higher in defense than offense, (#48, 458 yards per game). ND is #73 in offense with 418 yards per game. “Yeah, but they’ve played a much tougher schedule than Syracuse!” We’ve played the #5 team in FCS, a central Michigan team who beat Purdue by a larger Margin than Notre Dame did and a much-improved Maryland team. Notre Dame has played Rice, a Michigan team in disarray and Purdue. Why, exactly, are people saying we can't beat this team?

- The Irish are concerned about their offensive line and gave up 4 sacks last week, despite Golston’s maneuverability. Bring it on, Chuck Bullough!

2-1 with 9+ to go…..

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

I believe we are way better than many have made us out to be. That Maryland team went toe to toe with a very good West Virginia team who has played very well against Alabama and Oklahoma. So thus serving as further proof that we will punch them right in the junk tomorrow night.

That's a good cheer: "PUNCH THEM RIGHT IN THE JUNK!!!!"

I think something very similar to that got Jameis suspended.

The only thing similar was the fact that the first and last words in both sentences contained the letter "u".

Comparing apples to cantaloupes.
