- This is not the Temple team you remember. They are only 4-6 this year but were 9-4, 8-4 and 9-4 the previous three years. Those 1-10 type teams are history.
- Montiel Harris rushed for 351 yards and 7 touchdowns. Not this year. Last week. At least he didn’t score 138 points!
- His running mate, Matt Brown, actually ahs a higher average per carry, (6.2 vs. 5.7).
- They have had a quarterback controversy but Chris Coyer is 6-3 230 and ahs rushed for 444 yard son his own.
- They don’t pass much but have 9TDs vs. only 4 interceptions.
- Brandon McManus has made 30 of 31 extra points, 12 of 15 field goals from as far out as 50 yards and he punts for 45.2 yard per pp. Matt Brown is averaging 25 yards a kickoff return and 14 yards a punt return.
- We’ve got 11 starters who are hurting and it’s a short week. We just got a big win over Louisville and another over Missouri that made us bowl eligible. A let-down seems inevitable.
- One thing that won’t be different is that Lincoln Financial Field will be like a ghost town. SU usually seemed to be flat when they had to play at Temple because the atmosphere was one of a practice session. In fact, we lost the last two times we played there, 16-17 to a 4-8 team and 24-34 to a 2-9 team. This team is better than either one of them.
