- Washington State, full strength, was a good team. They went 8-4 and scored 441 points, 50 more than we did.

- They were 8-1 until they lost two games by 3 points and then one game by 1 points.

- Yeah, they had 20 guys announce for the portal but 17 of them are playing. This is not the 2023 Boca Raton Bowl, where a gutted Syracuse team could not compete.

- Under adversity, teams come apart – or they come together.

- We lost to Stanford. We’ve had terrible quarters against Ohio U and even Holy Cross. We were down 0-21 vs. Miami. We let Georgia Tech, NC State, and California make games we had dominated close at the end. We keep teams in the game and sweat it out.

- I hate the complacency we’ve had around here. You don’t beat teams because of how bad they are supposed to be. You beat them by making the plays necessary to win the game. Are we ready to do that?

That’s what worries me we have at least 1 quarter every game we don't show up.
In a bowl game that can cause you to lose.
Especially against a team that has nothing to lose with their coaches gone and 20+ guys in the portal.

When your defense consistantly lets the other team stay close, all it takes is a couple unlucky bounces on offense to turn a game against you, even if you have been dominant statistically.

Our defense is the side missing most of the players (Bellamy/Grant/Perry/Barnes)
