If you have a young, basically one-dimensional quarterback who is running for his life, a running game that can’t get going and inexperience at defensive tackle and linebacker, you’ve got those things no matter who you are playing and they will continue to be a problem. We are likely to have to out-score this team and our ability to do that is questionable at best. - The team is likely to be down after all the emphasis on the Clemson game and the shock of the Maryland game. They have to be doubting themselves. - “But we’ve got them at home!” This crowd will be half the size of the Clemson crowd with less than half the enthusiasm. The whole country will not be watching. We are irrelevant again. Playing non-power teams at home didn’t help us against Bowling Green, (14-41 in 1973 and 7-22 in 1975), Akron, (28-42) and Middle Tennessee State (23-30).
